PeakKR SEO Assistant

Support

Help for the Chrome extension. The SEO tools work on any site with no account — connecting a PeakKR workspace unlocks the client card, tasks, timer and Summit.

Quick start

  1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your toolbar (puzzle-piece icon → pin).
  2. SEO tools work immediately — open any page, click the icon, and the SEO, Links and Markup tabs are live. No account needed.
  3. Connect your workspace (optional): right-click the extension icon → Options. Enter your PeakKR URL and personal API token (in PeakKR: Your account → API access → Generate), then press Test connection — it verifies everything end-to-end and tells you exactly what's wrong if something is.
  4. Keep it open while you browse: the 📌 button docks the assistant to the side panel, or as a bottom/top bar. Alt+P opens the side panel from the keyboard.

Troubleshooting

  • "Token rejected" or HTTP 401Use Test connection in the extension's settings — it distinguishes a wrong token from a server that needs updating. If it says the server is stripping the Authorization header, your PeakKR install needs its latest update deployed.
  • "Not a PeakKR client"The site's domain isn't set on any project you can access. In PeakKR, open the project and set its domain — the setup meter on the project overview flags this too.
  • The side panel option is missingThe panel needs Chrome 116 or newer — update Chrome.
  • The bottom/top bar doesn't appear on a siteA small number of sites block embedded frames entirely; use the side panel there instead.
  • Rank badges not showing on GoogleBadges appear only for sites whose domain is set on a client project, and the domain list refreshes about every 30 minutes after changes.
  • Timer badge stuckThe badge re-syncs with the server every few minutes; opening the popup forces a refresh.

Frequently asked

Does it collect my browsing data?
No. The SEO tools run locally, and the extension only ever talks to the PeakKR server you configure. Full details in the privacy policy.
Do I need a PeakKR account?
No — the on-page SEO toolkit is free to use without one. The workspace features (client card, tasks, timer, Summit) need a PeakKR workspace.
Whose projects does my token see?
Only yours. The token acts as you and can be rotated or revoked anytime from Your account in PeakKR.
Where do tasks created from the extension go?
Onto the matched client's board — assigned to that client's project manager with a due date a week out by default (both changeable when you create them).
